SGS is pleased to announce that it is now empaneled by the US- India Clean Energy Finance (USICEF) as a service provider for providing specialized technical services for solar power projects.
With this empanelment, SGS can now provide support to project developers, who are / will be utilizing USICEF funds, support for the development of distributed solar power projects, and allow them efficient access to SGS expertise in the field of renewable energy.
As India’s first-of-its- kind initiative, the US-India Clean Energy Finance (USICEF) aims to accelerate progress towards India’s renewable energy and energy access goals by supporting early stage development of distributed solar projects and helping to develop into viable investment opportunities.
USICEF deploys funds in project preparation support, sourced from leading foundations and the Indian Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), to distributed solar power projects under consideration for long-term financing from the Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC). The William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, Good Energies Foundation, the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation, and the David and Lucile Packard Foundation have committed funding to USICEF.
