Gujarat Pollution Control Board (GPCB) Recognises SGS’ Environmental Services Laboratory in Ahmedabad
SGS India Pvt. Ltd. today announced that the company’s Environmental Services laboratory in Ahmedabad had been recognised by Gujarat Pollution Control Board (GPCB). This recognition is a testimony to the high standards followed by SGS worldwide in its laboratories, especially, in the areas of process, technology and human resources. The achievement will enable the company to offer specialised environmental and climate change services to customers for minimising environmental impact and meeting their regulatory obligations.
The, SGS received the recognition from GPCB under the Environment Auditor Scheme for fulfilling the required eligibility criteria of qualified and well-experienced team comprising of chemists, microbiologists, chemical engineers and environmental engineers along with well-equipped laboratory with duly-calibrated instruments and trained human resources to analyze the required environmental parameters. The auditors monitored and gauged the Environmental Management System (EMS) of the company to ensure all regulatory and quality standards were met.
The recognition is a valuable addition to the existing credentials of SGS’ laboratories worldwide and is an authentication of SGS’ services in the environmental space.
