Workshop for FSMA Certification

SGS India is pleased to host an exclusive workshop for FSMA certification on Tuesday, April 2, 2019  at Lemon Tree Premier Leisure Valley 2, Gurugram, Haryana, India

ABOUT FSMA:

Food safety is a number one priority in the US. After several high profile cases that severely impacted consumer trust, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) released the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA). FSMA is a major step forward in creating a system that prevents, as opposed to reacts to, contamination events in the supply chain. From the import of foreign products to the operation of domestic US food establishments, transparency and documented procedures aim to build on current best practice within the food industry. Rather than be a wholesale replacement of existing standards and certifications (i.e. GFSI recognized food safety schemes) the new legislation focuses on improving those areas that have proven ineffectual. For the food industry, FSMA offers an opportunity to forge a safer and more efficient global supply chain.
