CRS Team from SGS India qualifies the ZED Certification Scheme
We are pleased to announce the qualification of Consumer and Retail Services team members – Nitin Garg, Chiranjib Chakraborty and Srinivasa Prasad as technical assessors by the Quality Council of India for the prestigious ZED certification scheme promoted by the Government of India for it's flagship ‘MAKE IN INDIA’ programme.
The Zero Effect Zero Defect (ZED) Certification Scheme is aimed at enhancing global competitiveness of MSME’s by providing them financial support in assessment, rating and hand holding of their manufacturing processes on Quality and Environment aspects. This scheme is widely promoted by the Government of India to provide necessary boost to the ‘MAKE IN INDIA’ initiative launched with the primary goal of making India a global manufacturing hub, by encouraging both multinational as well as domestic companies to manufacture their products within the country.
The ZED ratings are set to be a credible recognition and benchmark of the industry, thereby providing a ready vendor base and an expansive base of trained human capital for the International buyers considering India as a sourcing and manufacturing hub.
